MS Society Events List for April 2015

This was from an email, it was sent by the MS Society, I'm purely spreading the word about these upcoming events that are ran by the "Multiple Sclerosis Society of Australia"

Programs in April
Medication UpdateThere are new medications available for multiple sclerosis. The MS Australia nurses will lead a discussion about the medication currently available and those in development.

Mood & Emotions in Multiple SclerosisCatherine Condon, Clinical Neurosychologist/Psychologist, leads this session which discusses some of the mood difficulties and emotional changes which are very common in people with MS. The reasons for these changes are discussed as well as various treatment options such as self-management, psychological therapy and medication.

MS Researcher’s Update
Professor Marita McCabe
Factors related to Psychological Adjustment among People with MS
This presentation examines the nature of a person’s coping and psychosocial adjustment to MS. It will explore the types of coping strategies that are most likely to be associated with successful adjustment. The session will also discuss the impact of MS on relationships and sexuality. Finally, the types of activities and attitudes adopted by people who shoe better adjustment to MS will be discussed.
